For CHD families who are inpatient, we are dedicated to providing comfort items for the patient. We understand the desire to make a hospital room feel more like home. We know these cozy items make your child feel comfort and can provide a sense of calm during a scary time. Our hope is to lessen the sterile feel of a hospital. We use funds to donate the following items to patients in a cardiac ICU or acute care floor. Donations to CHD patients include:
As a CHD family, we understand the difficulty in asking for help. Gas costs, meal costs, housing, utility bills, and potential daycare bills add up quickly. We are honored to lessening this financial burden for families. We also cherish our photos taken the day Miles passed away. Although they are devastating to look at, it is a memory that we went though this as a family unit. Support provided to families include:
Siblings tend to seamlessly blend into the background when people think of children battling a CHD. These siblings are experiencing the rollercoaster of CHD just as much as the parents. We hope, through our donations, they remember that we are thinking of them as well. We hope that these donations bring a smile to their faces. Items we donate to siblings include:
Miles of Love is looking forward to providing snacks for the caretakers of PICU patients at CHKD. In addition to providing snacks for PICU families, we will also be creating a snack basket for the amazing nurses who help these precious children each and every day. Help us clear our Amazon list!
THANK YOU for clearing our list!
Check back soon for our next snack list.
As we approach the holiday season, we remember the difficulties that come with being inpatient during this time of year. We hope to bring a little hope and joy to families who are experiencing this as well. Help us clear our list and provide gifts for the patients as well as their siblings this year.
