How Will You Provide a Mile of Love?

Inpatient Support

Inpatient Support

Inpatient Support

For CHD families who are inpatient, we are dedicated to providing comfort items for the patient. We understand the desire to make a hospital room feel more like home. We know these cozy items make your child feel comfort and can provide a sense of calm during a scary time. Our hope is to lessen the sterile feel of a hospital. We  use funds to donate the following items to patients in a cardiac ICU or acute care floor. Donations to CHD patients include:

  • Infant hats and booties.
  • Cozy blankets.
  • Plush stuffed animals.
  • Swaddles.
  • Toys (crib safe).

Family Support

Inpatient Support

As a CHD family, we understand the difficulty in asking for help. Gas costs, meal costs, housing, utility bills, and potential daycare bills add up quickly. We are honored to lessening this financial burden for families. We also cherish our photos taken the day Miles passed away. Although they are devastating to look at, it is a memory that we went though this as a family unit. Support provided to families  include:

  • Gas cards.
  • Meal vouchers.
  • Hotel stays.
  • Financial support for bills.
  • Photography sessions for inpatient families.

Sibling Support

Sibling Support

Siblings tend to seamlessly blend into the background when people think of children battling a CHD. These siblings are experiencing the rollercoaster of CHD just as much as the parents. We hope, through our donations, they remember that we are thinking of them as well. We hope that these donations bring a smile to their faces. Items we donate to siblings include:

  • Books.
  • Games.
  • Crafts.
  • Plush stuffed animals.
  • Pajamas.
  • Crayons/coloring items.

A Bite of Relief: Supporting CHD Families One Meal at a Time

February is Heart Month, and we’re raising funds to support families of children battling Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). As these families spend countless hours in the hospital, supporting their heart warrior, we want to ease their burden by providing them with DoorDash gift cards. These gift cards will allow families to purchase a warm meal from outside the hospital, giving them a much-needed break and the chance to nourish themselves while staying focused on their child’s care.

Your donation can help provide comfort, convenience, and a moment of relief to those going through an incredibly difficult time. Let’s come together this Heart Month and offer our support to those who need it most. Every dollar helps!

Miles of Love is looking forward to providing snacks for the caretakers of PICU patients at CHKD. In addition to providing snacks for PICU families, we will also be creating a snack basket for the amazing nurses who help these precious children each and every day. Help us clear our Amazon list!

THANK YOU for clearing our list!

Check back soon for our next snack list.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
